In one minute you learn how to get the speaker names right, once and for all.
You rename a speaker in the whole meeting, link the voice to a person and fix a speaker split that went wrong.
Open the transcription and click Edit. Click the speaker's name. The Who's speaking? box opens, and you can listen to the voice if you're not sure.
Choose the person in the list. Every line with the same voice gets the name at once, so you don't have to edit line by line. If the person isn't there, choose Add a new person.
Everyone is under People in the menu. People are shared across the whole workspace, and changes apply in every conversation the person appears in.
Did several people become one speaker, or the other way around? Click the gear in the transcription and choose Rerun speaker identification. Enter how many people spoke and rerun. Then link the names again.
Done. Tip: ask everyone to say their name at the start of the meeting, so it's right from the start.
