Inviting Klang to your meetings by email
Use your unique Klang email address to record meetings without connecting your calendar.
Every Klang account has its own calendar invite address. Add this address as a guest on a calendar event, and Klang joins and records that meeting. You do not need to connect your calendar to use it.
The easiest way to record meetings is to connect your calendar. Klang then joins and records your meetings automatically. If you would rather not connect your calendar, you can invite Klang manually with your invite address, as described below.
Find your invite address
- Open the Klang menu in the top-left corner, then click Settings
- Under My account, click Calendar invitations
- Find your Address for calendar invite. It looks like
meet+abcd-yourname@klang.ai. - Click Copy address

Use it to record a meeting
Add your invite address as a guest on the calendar event, the same way you would invite a colleague. Klang joins at the start time and records the meeting. This works for both one-time and recurring events.
Is the address personal to me?
Yes. Your invite address is unique to your account. You always have to use your own personal address if you want to invite Klang this way.
Always use your own address from the Calendar invitations page. This is how Klang knows the meeting belongs to you and saves the recording to your workspace.
Set the default language and folder
On the Calendar invitations page, you can choose the default language and folder for every meeting you record through your invite address. You can also pick how speakers are identified, which is useful for hybrid meetings.
